Dr. Shamsideen Musa is a visionary physician-executive and dual board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain specialist recognized for pioneering innovation in clinical medicine, healthcare delivery, and multidisciplinary practice leadership. With a career defined by academic distinction, entrepreneurial insight, and transformative leadership, Dr. Musa has built a national reputation for advancing patient care through science, technology, and strategic execution.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Musa earned his Bachelor of Science in Molecular & Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where his academic excellence earned him the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship and the NIH Undergraduate Scholarship. He went on to complete a Master’s in Cancer Biology through the University of Chicago Medical Scientist Training Program, conducting research at the National Cancer Institute that contributed to the understanding of cancer pathophysiology and translational therapeutics.

Dr. Musa earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where he was an inaugural member of the Bowman Society and recipient of the NMF/Aetna Scholarship for leadership and service. His postgraduate training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Anesthesiology and Pain Management included national service as Secretary of the Resident Component of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, highlighting his leadership within organized medicine. He later completed an ACGME-accredited Fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.

As Chief Medical Officer and Owner of Algone Anchorage Interventional Pain Clinic, Dr. Musa transformed the practice into a comprehensive multidisciplinary center, integrating interventional pain management, regenerative medicine, addiction treatment, and behavioral health. His expansion into Texas with Algone DFW Interventional Pain marked the evolution of a scalable, patient-centered healthcare model that blends clinical excellence with business innovation.

Beyond clinical leadership, Dr. Musa is an influential medical innovator and advisor. He serves on advisory boards for biomedical device and biotechnology firms, consults on technology-enabled care models, and contributes as a key opinion leader in pain medicine.
